Here's my story and I'm sticking with it.  I arrived in Playa del Coco, Gaunacaste, Costa Rica expecting it to be a party town for young Canadian's and European  20-Somethings.  You know the places, the ones with foam parties, vodka red bull and clothing optional.  What I found was a community with 70% of the ex-pat and tourist being between 45-65.  Not that this group does not party also but they just finish up earlier, usually just around the time Happy Hour ends at most bars!  Thankfully clothing for this group is NOT optional!! We are not going to get into where I came from or how I got here, that's a whole different story and not suitable for my mom  to read on this web site.

My first work experience in town was ensuring that the Rum did not get old in the bottle of most bars and quality assurance for Imperial Beer that the beer was being kept at 2C and not getting old either. Aussie at Coconutz Bar can confirm I did a great job most days.  I did a bit of Scuba Diving and eventually got my PADI Instructor Certification.  This caused me to be sober most morning to go diving so I had to give up a bit of my first job.

Since I already had a condo at Pacifico Residential Developement I opted to buy a few more and rent them out for holidays.  Cheryl at Costa Connection has been doing a great job at this as I have no clue on Holiday Rentals. My buddies Dave and David have a few also and now Mary and Dennis have gotten into the game with a rental unit at Pacifico also.

As Cheryl is now doing the Condo rentals I needed something else to "occupy" my time so I bought a boat.  Not just any boat mine you but the legendary "Fear Not".  A 30ft dive boat fitted with a 375hp, Caterpillar 3208 engine that just screams take me out diving!!  If  you've never owned a boat before believe me this will take up your time.  As the boat consumed more of my time I opt to charter it out to Rich Coast Diving for their tours.  The owners are good friends and they truly offer the best diving service in Costa Rica.

Now I have the boat managed by Brenda so I need something else to do.  At one of our Real Estate Agent Michael Simons many parties, two buddies of mine proposed we buy a few golf carts to rent to our clients in the Holiday Rentals.

So now I've got buggies to rent.  We started with three and somehow grew quickly to 20.  Why

didn't I just stick with sitting at the bar and drinking instead of all these bothers.....!

What's Next?  Your guess is good as mine. I'm hoping to go back to job number one.

If you're coming to Costa Rica let me know if I can be of help for your holiday experience.

I might not have exactly what you want or need but I'm always willing to help you try and
