The only thing more expensive than a wife and / or kids is a boat.  I've had them before (Boat, Wife but not kids) and I knew better but what can I say, what is a Captain without a Boat!  Now add on the expense of scuba diving and you quickly get the sense of why this is not a personal pleasure boat but a charter boat for hire.

This ain't no dinghy either.  It's a 30ft beast fitted with a Caterpillar 3208DITA, 375hp monster engine.  Fully loaded we make it out to Bat's Island to dive with the Bull Sharks and Great Manta Rays in 1-1/2hrs.  Trips to Catalina Islands take 45 minutes, no Bull Sharks but Manta Rays, Tortugas (Turtles) and Reef Sharks are frequently sited.  Local dives we slow cruise to the site to give you plenty of time to gear up.  This is the primary reason the boat was bought, to give us extended reach to remote sites in a timely manner to enjoy more Dive, Dive Dive!!!    The quicker the boat, the sooner we're back on shore and I can get back to my bar stool.

A swim platform makes for easy entry / exit for any type of excursion, be it Scuba Diving, Snorkeling or Surfing.  For those of us with a little age and not up to kicking onto the platform a ladder is also fitted.10 Diver plus guides still leaves plenty of room for stretching out.  Enjoy laying out on the bow deck between dives or cruising between sites and soak up the Costa Rica sun.

With the flying bridge the captain can spot marine life for everyone to enjoy.  Detours for whales and turtles are a must on any trip.  Ok, it's there so he can better keep track of the divers but the marine life stuff sounds better.

The boat is chartered out to Rich Coast Diving in Playa del Coco for their daily Scuba trips.  They're good people and run the best shop in town and I only like dealing with the best.

If you need a boat for a surf trip to Witch's Rock or just want a private afternoon away with your group to a secluded beach for snorkeling and sunset cruise back to town I can put together a package to suit your need. 

Just remember if you've had a day out on the boat that the crew appreciates the tips, they can buy more Rum and not let the wife know they spent the money.
